The requirement
Every building over six stories needs an annual parapet inspection.
Local Law 126 requires the inspection to be performed by a licensed professional and filed with the Department of Buildings. Miss it and the fines compound while the parapet keeps weathering.
Conditions are classified Safe, SWARMP, or Unsafe under 1 RCNY §103-15. An Unsafe finding triggers immediate DOB notification and protective measures.

How it works
Four steps, and you are filed.
Tell us about the building

A licensed professional inspects
A DOB-certified engineer or architect examines the parapet close up and photographs every condition.
You get the report
Safe, SWARMP, or Unsafe per 1 RCNY §103-15, with dated annotated photos, in three to five business days.
We file it with the DOB
Submission handled end to end, and your inspection history stays on file for the required six years.

Why VetraCheck
Compliance is the deliverable, not the inspection.
- Licensed engineers, in house
- NYC DOB certified engineers and architects with extensive facade inspection experience, not subcontracted labor.
- The filing is part of the job
- We do not hand you a PDF and wish you luck. Documentation goes to the Department of Buildings with the report.
- Urgent inspections available
- Time-sensitive situations get scheduled fast, including after an unsafe condition is identified.
- Every borough, one firm
- Licensed to operate throughout New York City, so a mixed portfolio does not need five different vendors.
